The figures created are completely figurative, with their hands behind their backs and carrying children”s toys. Marino Amaya is well known throughout Spain, being a sculptor whose work is specifically focussed on recreating animals, women and children. This is a figurative sculpture, pleasant to contemplate and which evidently serves a decorative purpose. The figures are created with synthetic features and with face and hair profiles that are oft repeated in the author”s work.
