This is a correctly executed work of sculpture, created for decorative purposes and therefore corresponding more to a design piece, although with a certain artistic flair. The work features synthetic profiles, great frontality and hieraticism, and a certain immobility. The lions" bodies are straight and smooth, whilst their large, voluminous heads stand out in particular, looking upwards with their mouths slightly open. The execution of the figures is reminiscent of oriental or Islamic art.
